"I selected the Bugatti for this assignment because it is the most expensive car made. It uses state-of-the art technology to create a16 cylinder engine with 4 turbochargers yet is compact. It has top speed of 250 mph and the 2006 models are expected to cost about $ 1 million.

Firstly, I used the sample website layout that Jeff provided as the foundation for the project.

Secondly, I wanted the site to emphasize 3 things about the car: (1) its history, (2) state of the art technology and (3) its power. Therefore, I compiled photos of the car, shots of the interior and other features and images about the founder, owners club, etc. I found suitable images on several websites including the Bugatti official site.

I used the official logo as the guide for the fonts. The closest match was Genuine, that I could tell.

The car speaks for itself and I wanted that to be the focal point so I selected one large cental image of the car. For the background I tried several approaches but decided on keeping it subtle. I kept in mind that the images should speak for themselves and the text should be kept small but I indulged with the clipping maskat the top. I tried to conform in other areas of the site and keep text small. I used the same side view image of the car for the left nav. buttons as I used in the “Power” background."
