Proposal for 30-Second TV Spot Cathy's Cat Trees is a company focused on manufacturing and selling of high-end cat furniture and accessories. The proposed TV commercial will focus on the Change-A-Tree, an innovative piece of cat furniture which allows repositioning of the various limbs of the tree to suit the customer's needs. The proposed storyline for the commercial is: The Tree That Grows With Your Cat. The first tree will be the basic one-limb unit with two kittens playing on it. Then there will be a shot of the tree showing how another limb is attached. As soon as the limb is attached, two young cats (colored the same as the previous two kittens) will take possession of the tree, and a kitten will join them and all play. A cut will show how toys can be attached, a third limb will be attached, and a sleeping cubby. The last scene will show all three cats as adults playing and sleeping in the tree. Project Tasks and Budget: Task 1 - Thumbnail storyboards This task will include two meetings with the client and the preparation of a set of thumbnail storyboards. It is assumed that the meetings will take place within a 1 hour drive of the office. Each meeting is budgeted for a total of 5 hours, including travel time. The thumbnail storyboard is expected to have at least 18, but no more than 36 panels. Client Meetings: 10 hours @$50/hr $500 Task 1 Total: $960.00 Task 2 - Production Storyboard On approval of the thumbnail storyboards, production storyboards will be prepared. This will include two client meetings, one to review the production board drafts, and one to receive and approve the final boards. The estimated time for the client meetings is the same as for Task 1. The production storyboard is expected to include approximately 36 panels.
