"PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Dragonfly Design has been commissioned to design a CD sampler for the John Harris group. The CD will promote a newly signed act called Preston’s Lament. The CD sampler will consist of six songs from the band's upcoming release, “Discarded.”

DESIGN RATIONALE:
I wanted to create a design that related to the Album title, "Discarded." It also had to reflect the band's musical style, which is a blend of goth and metal.
Using the word discarded as my focus, I came up with number of concepts. I finally, decided upon a design that incorporated abandoned dolls. I found a great image of a doll mired in dried mud that was particularly disturbing. This one image inspired my entire design.
I experimented with different imagery, styles, colors, effects, and fonts. The suggestions of my instructor and classmates helped me to develop the best possible solution for my client. So, after countless revisions and much trial and error, here is my final design. It has been great working with all of you."
