For my final project, I decided to design fashion fabric patterns, while using the things that I have learned in class. I love contemporary florals, stripes, circles, other geometric patterns and houndstooth. I decided to use these patterns that I love to create four patterns as a collection. I experimented with asymmetry and symmetry for these designs. I started out created simple black, white and gray versions of these. I used rotation, translation, scale and dilation. I then added color, using an analogous color scheme. I used tones of pink and purple and white to create a unified look for all four of the patterns. I used the same colors for all four of them so that they went well together. I then added texture to all four of the designs to make them more interesting and to utilize what I learned in class. I used many different filters, like grain, stained class, smudge stick, texturizer and many more. I then resized them and moved them onto one canvas, evenly spaced.
