In the fabulous world of creating balance, focus, and harmony through finishes, textures, and colors, while lowering the impact of our carbon foot print on the world in Interior Design is a goal of mine. I wanted people to know that we are not freaks, but we just use more of one side of our brain then they do in order to bring peace, joy, and happiness to the masses. I believe that I accomplished this through the variety of images for my final project. I titled it “Mind of an Artist” and my images show at least four different working of the artist mind. It shows how we see things, how we absorb things, and how we make room for more.

I create an image through the use of overlapping, scaling and collage while taking it further with the use of value, hue and chroma to bring the project to completion. My images are along the theme of a modern take on the working mind of an artist or creative person. Some parts were scanned in, like the decorative craft paper and others were created in Illustrator. It also incorporate words because I have a great love for them. There is also a repeat pattern being used as well. My struggle was to draw the images I needed to include in my collage in Illustrator, but with imagination and a better understanding of some of the tools including the content of the assignments from the course helped me to grasp the concept and produce a successful final project.

I believe that the following images work together to show many aspects of the mind of an artist. Through my color choices I gave them life and through texture I gave them interest that would appeal to anyone. I can only hope that they bring insight to those who don't really get us and a better understanding of who we are. It is more fun to be around people who have many facets to them then to be around people who are drones.
