My image is an island scene. Since we cannot use colors other than black and white, there aren't any options for contrast there aside from what black and white give you. So I went with contrast in ideas, or in this case, time. The scene shows both day time and a hint of night time on the island.
Scale and proportion are shown in the various palm tree sizes and bird sizes.
Focus is shown in that the daytime scene inside the circle is the focal point. It takes a second or two to realize that there is a night scene behind it.
I believe that the waves show both gravity and rhythm. The water is falling downward to show gravity. The eye follows the waves from the largest to the smallest for rhythm.
