Yesterday I started this assignment and I was just not feeling it. I have to say it was a little frustrating because I really didn't have a very defined way of going about it. I felt like I was just trying a bunch of different things unsuccessfully. So today, I tried starting out the way the tutorial had with a simple image. I ended up with something I really didn't expect, but overall I like what I was able to do.

First, I took an image of a clover. I copied it numerous times overlapping each of the layers. I also transformed each layer, always rotating, sometimes skewing and sometimes changing the opacity. When I felt like I had the beginning of something. I opted to add an ink outline from the filter gallery. Nothing too strong. Just enough to add a little more definition than I had. After that, I wanted a rougher effect so I added a Sandstone Texturizer with low scaling and relief. This really added to the effect. The rough, uneven ridges made for an end result that was remniscent of a tree bark.
