New Life Daniela Copenhaver '11
My final project is about Donating Life. The message that I am trying to send through my design is Organ Donation and how everyone can donate life. The reason I am pursuing this subject, being that I work in this field and I see what happens to patient’s lives everyday, I feel that a lot of people are unaware of Organ Donation and how they can change lives. Each set of hands represents a human donating their organs. The light that I used in the middle symbolizes the term “New Life”. When someone donates their organs they are helping the recipient start their “New Life”. I also added a different color to each set of hands representing different ethnicities, trying to show that everyone can make a difference. I decided to use a Kidney, Liver, Heart, and a Eye to represent the Cornea. The background color I used is green since that is the signature color for Donating Life, but by adjusting the levels I was able to incorporate the black to make the images stand out.
